Practice Tree 03

Third painting. I'm getting a much better feel for the shapes I'm aiming for now. Much more stream lined and clear. I wanted strong contrast, and THANKFULLY, I got some balance in this. But then I got over ambitious and wanted to do sunlight beams in the clearing...and a white deer. hahaha

The deer is really sad. He's a stiff-legged phantom-blob. But that's okay...he's my first deer. I don't like the lighting, but I DO like the silhouetted trees framing it. I'm getting closer to the feel I want in these paintings. Ran out of canvases, though, so I'll have to take a break from painting for now.
